Received Tuesdav, 10 p.m. LONDON, August 30. The Ministry of Food is seriously eonsidering a proposal to increase the meat ration from the present 16d worth to 30d or 32d worth during Christmas week. This would niean the biggest Christmas bonus of nieat since the war. There was 110 increased meat ration last Christmas. The granting of a double ration at Christmas would ease the tremendou^ pressure ou coltl storage space and dea a crippling l)low to the blaekmarket in poultry and rahbits.
