Heavier Entries At Levin Sale Yesterday.

At the Levin sale. yesterday large yardings came forward in all sections. Fat ewes and hoggets maintained a ready sa'e in the sheep section, while fat wethers, being in an oversupply, deprpciated slightiy. * Porkers were in greater supply than usual, but maintained nriees realised at recent saies. In the fat cattle section, vealers again so'd well though in short supply. Ox beef was in keener demand and cows and heifers again met with a ready sale. Fat ex-dairy cattle sold well at recent market rates. Dairy cattle, though yarded heavily and with fair quality., did not demand much interest from buyers. Quotations: — Figs: Baconers, £5 15s to £6 6s; heavy porkers, £5 to £5 10s; medium do., £4 10s to £5; light do., £3 10s to £4; maiden sows, £5 to £5 16s; stores, £3 to £3 7s. Fat sneep: Prime ewes, 44s lOd to 45s lOd; -medium do., 37s 4d to 41s; heavy wethers, 61s ld to 63s 7d; medium do., 58s lOd to 59s lOd; lighter do., down to 52s; prime black faces, 54s lOd to 56s 4d; prime medium ewes, 54s lOd to 57s lOd; prime hoggefcs, 47s 4d to 49s 4d; medium do., 43s 4d to 46s lOd. Dairy, cattle: Heifers, r.w.b., £9 15s, £10 10s, £11 10s, £13 up to £15 5s. Fat cattle: Medium vea'ers, £6 7s 6d to £8 2s 6d; extra heavy ox, £25 2s 6d to £27 2s 6d; prime do.., £23 2s 6d to £24 12s 6d; prime light do., £21 7s 6d to £22 12s 6d; prime heifers, £16 17s 6d to £18 12s 6d; prime cows, £14 12s 6d to £16 2s 6d; ex-dairy cows, tops, £12 2s 6d to £13 2s 6d; medium do., £8 7s d to £9 17s d; others, down to £5 2s 6d.
