N.Z. Radio Programmes Said To Be Dead
AUCKLAND, August 29. "New Zealand radio is dead," said a well known Australian radio annouiicer and cornpere, Mr Donalll Day, 011 arrival in the Wanganella today. Mr Day, who is here 011 a holiday, based his opinion on current overseas standards, He recently toured Britain, Europe and Routh Africa. "In New Zealand," he said, "there are too many short serials and not enough live artist and andience-partiei-pation ahows. " lle believed listeners in the Dominion would welcome brigliter programmes.
