. Received Tuesday, 10.15 a.m. LODDON, August 29. Western Allied intelligence offl£ers in Berlin received reports today that Soviet Russia will attempt to liquidate Marshal Tito within six months, says the Associated Press correspondent. These reports stressed that Marshal Tito's assassination or a Russian-inspired internal revolt against his regime were the most likely pi'Osp'ects. The reports east doubt on the jspeculation that Moscow would take the risk of leading its sateltites in south-eastern Europe in a direct military attack against Yugoslavia. Tne Soviet Government was described, however, as ready to resort to any measure short of international war to dispose of the deflant YUgoslav leader. Part Of Nerve Wai*. m Washington today United States offfcials expressed _ the opinion that the extraordinary publicity given to the Cominform meeting in Sofia and to Russian troop movements in the Balkan areas near the Yugoslav' frontier are part of the Soviet war of nerves against Marshal Tito. Such events, they said, were customarily carried out in deep secrecy but were now being publicised to strairi Yugoslav nerves. The Associated Press' Belgrade correspondent says that there are few outward signs of worr.y in Yugoslavia, but at least part of the country's cairn can be attributed to the- fact that the official Press has carried few of the rumours which have apparently disi, urbed the Western world.
