Junior Rugby Reps. Make Good Showing At Pahiatua

"It was vbry pleasing to se'e the boys throw the ball abbtif and the crowd really enjoyed itself watching them- dbing So," reported the manager of the Hbfowhenua junior representative team, Mr. F. Jimo, in his report to the management eommittee Of the union last night on the game with Bush juniors on saturday. The boys had deserved -their win .(17 — 12;), he added, and- the game had been a good' one- to watch from start to finish. Credit was due to Mr. Gebrge for the manner in which the team played and their physical fitness, which was in itself a deciding factor as the team had scored nine points in about the last 15 minutes. The manager added that he would like to ? extend' his congratulations both to Mr. George and the team on its success. and for the manner in which the players had conducted themselves on the trip. It ha'd been ideal and his task as manager had been made easy. When the team had left Levin it had only 14 players but by the time it had arrived in Pahiatua there were 20 players, he added, some turning up who had previously thought they could not play and three more being found as replacements en route. It was very gratifying to get a report like that from the manager, commented the presiddnt, Mr. R. L. Rofcinsoh, and he had much pleasure in -extending the committee's congratulations to the players, coach and manager.
