The arrests included two bovs »>f 14 and a girl of 16 fn southwest Prance and two brothers who lit a fire ' ' for fun." A death roll of more than 100 was feared in the flame ravaged Gironde forest aouth of Bordoaux as hnndreds of Bed Oross and volnnteer rescue workers ppent last night coitfbing the devastated nreas. Farly today 73 people were offieiallv reported dead but many more were missing and hundreds seriously ininred. The flames, which destroyed 112,000 fu-res of forest and many -farm buildings and reached within six miles of Bordeanx, were bronght under control the winds which fanned them dropped. Tnvestigations revealed that the nain start of the fires was in a log cabin which two sawmill workers accidcntally set ablaze.
