WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. • Although a Finnish seaman charged in the Magistrates' Courc today with being a prohibited 1mmigrant was not represented by counsel, a solicitor present, Ma J. A. Grace, applied for a reheanng after the man had been sentenced to six months' imprisonment and an order made for his depoi'tation. Accused was Raimo Olavi Karhunen, 20, who had been a member of the crew of the ^Norwegian •tanker Herbrand, which sailed from Wellington on Friday evening and from which two Norwegian seamen fell when the vessel was at the Heads. There was no lnterpreter present today wlien Karhunen was charged and he spoke no English. Mr. Grace applied for a rehearins of the case to enable an interpreter to be present. _______ _
