They deelined to comment on the prospects if an apnlieation were made. Tn Ottnwa an informed sonrce said that as far as he was aware New Zealand had made no formal request for a dollar loan from Canada. hut if such a renueat were received Canada would eive it cousideration. ITe said whether New Zealand would get sueh a loan would depend on how dosnorately she needed it, and on Canada 's own dollar standing at the time.
