Ohau Miniature Rifle Club Wins Shield
The final match for the O.R. Shield was fired re'bently at Ohau between the Ohau and Riverbank Miniature Rifle Clubs. Although the first match resulted in a draw, on thsi occasion Ohau piled up the high total of 2869 points to Riverbank's 2856 and thus won - the shield. Scores were: — •Riverbank: Brown 99, Mrs. Fulford 98, Galbraith 98, Smith 98, Mrs. Harding 97, Mrs. Taylor 96, Mrs. South 96, Miss Baker 96, Fletcher 96,. Mrs. Dunn 95, Pfeffer 95, M. Fletcher 95, Hughes 94, South 93, Mrs. Warcup 92, Pribble 91, Warcup 89, Mrs. Hudson 85, Mrs. Mason 84, Miss Burns 83 and Cox 70; total, 2356. Ohau: R. Haley 100, L. Anyan 98, E. Findsen 98, J. -McCartney 98, L. Holder 98, Ian Grey 97, E. Haley 97, S. Aanensen 97, F. Catley 96, Jim Horn 96, G. McKenzie 96, R. Wehipeihana 96, H. Wehipeihana 96, A. Joblin 94, Miss C. Hunter 94, C. Tait 94, V. G. Hunter 93, W. McKenzie 93, Miss MCCartney 92, J. G. Horn 88 qpd E. McLeavey 87; total, 2869. At the conclusion of the match the shield was handed to R. Haley, whose 100.4 was the highest score. He also received the Harding Cup and first prize. Miss C. Hunter took firstp rize for the Ohau ladies. First prizes for Riverbank went to Brown (men) and Mrs. Fulford (ladies).
