The whole of Saturday was occupied with the consideration of remi'ts, many giving rise to, considerable discussion. The social side of the convention began on Friday evening with a talk on the Kiwi rugby football team's tour of Great Britain- by Colonel A. W. Andrews, the manager of the team. Saturday evening saw a "money-go-round" se'ssionl compered by the weil-known Jack Maybury, of the Commercial Broadcasting Service. Levin Jaycees who attended report a most interesting and enjoyable weekend. The remits dis-, . cussed were mainly of a local i character, fout the proposal to create a regional planning council : for this area gave the Levin dele- 1 gation an opportunity. to press its ' Qlaims to be included with' Wel- !

lington in this scheme, which at the moment envisages only the area from Wellington up to the Otaki River. Altogether thosq who attended had a full time and the convention was a splendi'd prelude to the national Jaycee convention to be held at Palmerston North in October. „
