Advice was freeiy given by Mr. Evans in reply to the many questions asked, and a demonstration of pruning of fruit trees fol--lowed. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the demonstrator. A competition provided much entertainment and was won by Mrs. L. Styles.- The results of the usual monthly competitions are as follows: — Best flower: Mr. D. Grant 1, Mrs. C. Sutton 2, Mrs. L. Styles 3. Vase of poppies: Mrs. O. Shirnack 1, Mrs. C. Sutton 2,Mrs. L. Styles 3. Sponge:' Mrs. D. Grant 1, Mrs. N. Bracken 2, Mrs. Shirnack 3.
