TE HORO'S MEETING
\ The monthly meeting of the Te Horo Women 's Institute took place in the Te Horo Hall recently, when 'there was a' very good attendance. Mrs. W. S. Waide. Following the discussion of routine matters, Mr. c. Evans, of Otaki, diseussed gardening problems. Advice was freeiy given by Mr. Evans in reply to the many questions asked, and a demonstration of pruning of fruit trees fol--lowed. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the demonstrator. A competition provided much entertainment and was won by Mrs. L. Styles.- The results of the usual monthly competitions are as follows: — Best flower: Mr. D. Grant 1, Mrs. C. Sutton 2, Mrs. L. Styles 3. Vase of poppies: Mrs. O. Shirnack 1, Mrs. C. Sutton 2,Mrs. L. Styles 3. Sponge:' Mrs. D. Grant 1, Mrs. N. Bracken 2, Mrs. Shirnack 3.
