Protest at Chatham Cup Replay

AUCKLAND, August 1(5. Tlie Edeii Association Football Club has formally protested to the Nevv Zealand Football Assoeiation againsl the change of venue for the North Island Chatham Cup final replay next Saturday from Auckland to Wellington. The club points out that the Nevv Zealand Csuneil's decision was that the North Island fmal should be played at Auckland and as the replay was a continuatiou of the originl game it should also be played here. Two official announcements that the replay would be held at Auckland had been made, and although a further announcement had changed the venue the Wellington Club had received no official advice. The club claims that it was impossible for the players to make sueh short notice arrangements to travel to Wellington.
