AVELLINGTON, August 16. An ■ appliance which enables an armless man to eat with a knife and fork, raise a cup to his lips, turn over pages and use a typewriter, was demonstrated by it-s inventor, Alr A. W. Taff, ehgineer, of Napier, before disabled men, orthopaedic surgeons, rehabilitation officials and .representatives of varioxis organisations, in Wellington today. Foh lowing the demonstration an official as: surance was given that sueh appliances would be supplied under social security where orthopaedic surgeons recommended them.
