Sydney Slowly Returning To Normal
Received Tuesdav, 8.10 p.m. SYDNEY. August 16. Tndustrial and domestic restnctions on the use of gas in New South Wales, will be eased on Friday niglit, and full tram and electric train services will be restored from midnight Thursday aeeording to a decision of the State Cabinet emer^ency committee. From electricity on Aveek days between 6 p.m. tions will return to those existing on May 18 when industry was allowed to use 70 per cent of th'e eonsumption dur^ ing the winter of the previous year. Except for the' continuous processes, industry will not be allowed to use electriicty on week da.ys between 6 p.m. and 7.30 a.m. The domestic use. of electricity is-banned on week days between 8 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. exeept for refrigeration, radios and docks Radiators are still completely banned but off peak water heatersjmav be used at night. Outdoor lighting for spo'ts meetings, enteftainment, signs and window displavs, is permitted between 7.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. Steam passenger trains will be restored by next Sunday
