DESERTING CHIANG
Received Tuesday 7 p.m. LONDON, August 16. The Daily Telegraph's Hong Kong correspondent says 44 former supporfcers of Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang administration, issued a proclamatioii ealling upon all supporters of the Kuomintang to go over to the Communists The proeiamation aecused Chiang Kaishek and his supporters of betraying the principles of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, founder ot the Kuomintang. Among the signatories were General Lung Yun, former Governor of Yunnan Province, several members of the Chinese Legislativo ■ Yuan and a number of high civil and inilitary officials.
