Heavy Stock Yardings At Levin Sale
At the Levin sale yesterday a good yarding in all sections meb with a keen demand, prices reached being fully flrm on recent saies, Pigs were in greater supply than last week and showed- "a slight easing in values although still remaining high. Fat cattle prices jappreciated somewhat, particular*ly those for ox beef. Dairy cattle yardings were larger than at preyious saies- and a good pench, of buyers showed greater interest. Fat sheep remained firm in all sections. The following is a range of prices: — ' Fat sheep; Prime heavy ewes, £2 4s ld. to £2 4s lOd; medium do., £2 0s 4d to £2 ls 4d; prime heavy wethers, £3 2s 4d to £3 4s 7d; medium do., 57s 7d to £3 ls lOd; prime black faced two-tooths, 57s ld to 59s lOd; prime hoggets, £2 ls 4d to £2 3s lOd; medium do., 38s 7d to 39s ld; lighter do., 36s 7d to 38s 7d; store wether hogr gets, 38s 3d to £2; store wethers, £2 ls. Pigs: Light porkers, £4 4s 8d to £4 15s-; medium do., £5 5s, £5 13s to £6 ls; heavy porkers, £6 3s, £6 17s to £7 ls; medium stores, £2 8s, £2 19s to 3 4s; larger do., £4 15s, £4 ls to £4 7s. Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, £13 5s, £16 10s, £17 5s to £18. Fat cattle : Heavy yealers, £9 7s 6d, £9 17s 6d to £12 17s 6d; light P A. heifers, £15 15s, £16 to £17 7s 6d; light fat steers, £16 2s 6d,' £17 17s 6d to £19 2s 6d; prime P^A. cows, £15 2s 6d, £16 2s 6d to £16 17s 6d ; light fat cows, ex -dairy, £7 17s 6d to £8 12s 6d; heavier do,, £9 7s 6d to £11 12s 6d-
