Mr. Wilfred Gimblett, of Levin, who suffered a compound fracture of the right leg when the motor cycle he was'riding wa§ involved in a collision with a car in Palmerston North rec£ntly, is progressing as well as can expect-. ed; He is likely to continue an inmate ■ of the Palmerston North Hospltal for some time. "This club with. .a number of others suffered a severe loss through the death of Mr. M. B. Bergin, of Foxton," stated Mr. L. B. Wall (president) in his report to the annual meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club.= He added, "As a racing judge Mr. Bergin had no peer and ds a man he was much respected and liked. Racing is. very much the poorer for the loss of Barney Bergin." • f
