Levin Scout Committee's New Officers
Officers for the ensuing year were e ectecl as follows at thr " nnual meeting of the Levin Scout Oominittes "ast week: — Chairman: Mr. W. L, Travers; deputy chairman: Mrs. M. A. M. Blenkhorn; secretary: Mr. H. Allwood: commiitee: Mesdames Blenkhorn, A. Shaw, J, Doyle, Wils -n Graht, H. E. Wenhamj J. .Harvey, Walker, WL. Travers, W. J. Guinan, V. E Hudsan, R. A, Frederikson, M Bettin, Cole and- H. Allwo~d, Messrs A. C. Kennerley, H. Palmer, W. Benfell, A, Hannah, Jacl?SQh, J. Trim, G. Hutton and Hewitt, Cubmaster M. B ehkhorn, Scout Leader S. Small and Assistaht Scout Leader T. Hudson. Present at the meeting was the Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, who, as an. ex-scoutpiaster, said he was appreciative of the work of hte scout movement in ihe district and pledged his assistance to the committee. He said he felt cei>tain that the people of Levin and district would give wholehearted support to any • scheme . put f orward by the committee for the raising of finance or materials for the erection of the new scout building in Playford Park. The erection of such a building would fill a much needed want in the community. He then made severa] nelpful suggestions which will he acied upon by the committee immediatelj^
