WELLINGTON, August 12. ! r The national executive of the Eederj ation of Labour would not countenance | any organisation involving them in its S dispute without consultation, said a I telegram sent today by the secretary jj of the New Zealand Eederation of Lab- ? our (Mr. K. Baxter) to the president I of the New Zealand Waterside Work- • ers'Tnion (Mr. II. Barnes). Mr. Baxi ter's telegram stated that unions affihI ated to the Eederation had reported S that by intimidation tactics an en- | deavour was being made by the Water- ! side Workers' Union to involve them, | without consultation with the officiala I of tlie-affiliated unions concerned in the I dispute. I The telegram read: "The practice of I the Eederation of Labour is that no $ organisation should be involved in a | dispute without hrst having been con- | sulted. I, therefore, desire to point S out that my national executive will not
countenance any organisation involving others without consultation."
