WELLINGTON, August 11. The Budget is to be presented in the House of Representative by the Mimster of Finance (Mr Nash) next Thuis- • day. / 1 ■ This was announced ,in the House by '' the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), who had been asked by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holland) if he cpuld say what would be the main legislation. of the session. Perhaps, adijed Mr Holland, it was too early ,to inquire the date of the General Election. The Prime Minister, after mentioning the Budget date, said the Military Training Bill was nnder diseussion, but he was not- quite sure whether it. could be introduced before the Budget. There were various other items of legislation, but, of course, he added, the rno'st im portant thing was the General Election. "I am afraid," said the Prime Minister, ' ' I cannot f orecast delinitely oi: accurately the result, but we will all kiiow it by Ohrisitmas. ' ' He pronnsed to look irito the programme for the remainder of the session, and make a stateinent to the House.
