Rolston Finishes Strongly In Road Race

Last Saturday's cycling roa'd race from Levin to Te Horo and return, a distance of 34 mi'es, drew nine riders and was won by Alan Rolston in 1 hr. 37 mins. 30 secs. It was a strong finish. Stan Coutts, in second position and clocking 1 hr. 39 mins. 35 secs., showed a great improvement and should do well before the end of the season. Peter Elliott- was third and fourth fastest time of, 1 hr. 34 mins. 40 secs. Harry Donovan once again made fastest time, clocking 1 hr. 26 mins. 40 secs. S. Cai'der, a visitor from Foxton, made second fastest time, 1 hr. 26 mins. 40 2-5 secs. and Don Yeates made third fastest time of 1 hr. 30 mins. 40 2-5 secs. Next Saturday's race. for those who are not travelling to Feilding will _ be from Levin to Motuiti Station and return, starting at Cnainey Bros. at 1.30 p.m. and finishing at the -Oddfellows' Hall. There will also be a race for boys under 15 to Heatherlea comer and L'eturn, starting at 1.45 p.m.
