FRESH SLIP ON EAST COAST RAILWAY

GISBORNE, August 10. A new slip on the GisborneNapier railway occurred during the night at Waipunga, between Tutira and Napier, cutting off the link between Wairoa and Napier. The slip at Raupunga yesterday will not be cleared till Friday at the earliest, but the road blockage at this point has been c'eared. Passengers by the WeliingtonGisborne express will be conveyed by bus from Napier to Wairoa and complete the journey by railcar.
