f - . A pfpfit of £782 is disclPsed in fhe ineome and expenditure account of •the Horowhenua A. and P. Association for the year ended April'*30 lgst. This was subffiitted to ' members. at fhe annual. meeting pf the association last night by the secretary, Mr. J. E. Fullarton. Expenditure for the year totalled £2001 5s 5d, the main items being .prize money £810 6s 4d, printing, stationery and advertising £364 15s 2d, salaries "and wages £296 '2s 7d, repairs and maintenance (inciud4ing caretaker's wages) £156 2s '74 and catering £84 fls 9d. The nett ■prqfit was £782 ls lld. The chief items of income were gUbscriptions £728 -7s 6d, entry fees £454 gs 9d, donations £397 6s, adV vertising £260 18s, gate receipts £529, and show privileg'es and saies bf space £250 2s.' The total revenue Was £?7§3 7a 4d. "The sound financial position is due lqrgely tp the policy of the committ'ee in not having undertaken any cpstly additions at these times, and also to. the amount pf vpluntary work that has been sq Willingly carried out," commented the president, Mr. J. A.
