Personal. Mr. George Mann, of Main Street, is visiting Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Turoa- Webster and family, after a visit to Australia, have retui'ned to Otaki. Mrs. E. Symonds, of Riverbank Road, after an extended visit to Palmerston North, has returned to Otaki. Mr. John Eaton, of Bell Street, has accepted an appointment in Hastings and leaves today for his new sphere. Mr. E. T. Bartosh, of Rangiuru, is attending a three day Dominion gardeners' conference in Wellington.
Mr. Sue Shing Hen, a Chinese resident of Otaki for many years, •died on Wednesday - while being taken to Palmerston North Hospital. The deceased, who was thought to be 79 years of age, was interred at Otaki today. \ Football Match Cancelled. The Kimbolton-Rahui senior football match to have been played at the Otaki racecourse tomorrow, has been cancelled.
