This incident upset their travelling schedule between Salisbury and Pretoria and they were 12 hours late in arriving at Pretoria. However, their next match does not take plaec till Saturday so that they wJJl still have a useful few davs' spell. All the plavers need this as, though none was injured in the smash, several had nasty shakes and a certain amount of nervous reaction set in later. The Otago forward Willoeks landed on his shoulder wlien ejected from his bunk. This later gave him trduble and mav affect his preparation for the 9econd Test. Catley will have taken part in 100 first class JRugby matches wlien he takvis the field on Saturday against NortheVn Transvaal. He had 93 such games to his eredit when the tour began. Allen and M. P. Goddard were the only other players with the prospect r,f Teaching the century of first class games on this tour, having 88 and 86 to their credit, but a broken wrist spoilt Goddard 's chances. Allen has had nine' games on this tour, bringing his total to 97, and with nine games left, he should reach the eoveted century. When he registered his brilliant trv on Saturday against Rhodesia, Scott brought his total iu 11 matches.- to 38 points which have been scored by all the possible sourees, namely, one try, seven eonversions of tries, six penalty goals and one potted field goal. Scott has played in most games, followed by Henderson, McNab, Harvey,. Skinner and Simpson 10 each,. and Elvidge, A.llen, Crowley, Kearney and Grant nine each. v Northern Transvaal, which will plav the All Blacks on Saturday, has not been beaten this season an.d has had some impressive victories including 25 — 11 against Transvaal and 17 — A against Orange Free State.
