Polio Hits New York
Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, August 2. Fifty-seven new cases of infantile paralysis — the' highest number reported here in a single day so far this year — were announced today. These brought to 424 the number of paralysis cases in New York City where the Health Department said a miid epidemic had broken out. There were six deaths in the 24 hours ended this morning.
