Farming Films. On Monday evening a series of films of farming interest are to be exhibited at the Te Horo Hall. A general invitation is given to all -by the Federated Farmers. Fire Alarm Sounded. Residents had uheir minds diverted from the referendum for a short period yesterday when the fire alarm was sounded. The brigade turned out promptly to. .Mr. H. Raika's home where a chimney was alight. Football Team. The following is the Rahui senior team to play Kimbolton seniors at Otaki, Racecourse at 2 p.m. on Saturday: Casey, Johnson, Bradley, Smith, Wallace, Winterburn, Hakaraia, Higgott, Webster, Lethbridge, Wilton, Winterburn, Fox, Grigg, Phillips, Watt and Spiers. Road Safety Films. Ofticers of the Wellington Automobile Association will be the guest speakers at the Home and School Association's monthly meeting tonight, when a series of films will be screened. On the occasion of an earlier visit the films and comments were a most valuable help. Polling Figures Good. Attendances at the local polling booths throughout yesterday were most satisfactory and staffs had quite a busy day. At the main booth at theAnglican Hall over 700 votes were recorded, this total- including posxal and'absentee. The booths at Tasman Beach and Otaki Railway were also kept busy.
