Big Fan Mail For Acid Bath Murderer
Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, August 3. John George Haigli, awaiting execution for the murder of Mrs. DurandDeacon, is having the biggest fan-mail of any condemned man for years, says the Daily Express. Between 30 and 40 letters are handed in at Wandsworth prison for him each day. They come from all parts of the country. The majority are in women's liandwriting. All Haigh's mail is subjected to scrutiny by the prison governor before it is handed to him. . Haigh is due to be hange'd next Wednesday.
