Tasman Beach Institute Meets

The July nieeting of the Tasman Beach Women's Institute was held recently, .When Mrs. J. H. McGonville presided over an excellent attendance. A welcome "was extended to all present, with- a special welcome to Mesdames J. Jensen and H. O'Brien, two new members. Apologies on behalf of fbur absentee members were received. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mrs. Eggers, an officebearer of a sister' institute, whose death had oceurred the previous day. Birthday greetings were extended to Mesdames M. Gestro, H. O'Brien, J. Ross and P. Evans. A letter was read from Canningtown Insuitute, in England, thanking members for- the parcel . forwarded. Mfs.' F. Inglis then led a community. sing, after which a dairity afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames A. M. Hawkins and/P. Evans. A mystery parcel which was passed round created much amusemeiit and Mrs. M. Percival was the eventual winner. Cake icing was ably demonstra'ted by Mrs. R. Duncan, every little detail being shown land members expressing surprise at the ease.with which the demon'strator accomplished her effort. Miss Morgan then entertained with two pleasing vocal numbers, after which a vote of thanks to the entertainers and 'demonstrator was carried with' acclamation.
