PPNEDIN, Jqly 29., Although it was apparent that some of the most" vpcifei'Qus hecklers were inspired by alcohol rather than anticonscription sentiments, the Primo Minister (Mr. Fras.er) and the defence. minister (Mr. Jones) -and other speakCrs expounded the cape for conscription against a constant diapason of largely incoherent interjections in the Town Hall tonight. It was evident that many of the interject'Ors were working to pre--pared strategy movihg from place to plaee in the hall. The ipost draaiatic moment of the evening eame when the secretary of the local branch of the Civil Liberty Proteetion Association • an aetive conseientions objector named R. Maleolm-— stl'ode up the length of the hall and shouted: "I say so," when Mr Fraser asked a rhetorical qp.estion: "Ia there anyone in this hall who can say he is not in favour of the defence of this country?" Mr. Malcolm subsequently interjected consistently from the front row, attempted to mount the stage and remained seated during the singing of the National Anthem. A motion expressing favour of the military sei'A'ice proposals was carried by an overwhelming majority on a show of hands,
