Country Women Support Military Training
WELLINGTON, July 28. Support for compulsory military training was given by; the annual meeting of the Dominion Federation of New Zealand Women 's Institutes which concluded today. A motion brought down hy the Dominion executive tb that effect, was carried hy an overwhehning majority, says a supplipd repQrt; The motion stated that the conference was satisfied the proposed scheme would be of benefit to the youth of the country and urged all women to record thetr votes-- " on a matter- of such importance to New Zealapd women." The delegates, Avlio came from all parts of New Zealand, were addressed by Major General Sir Howard Kippenherger. ■ ' " -t: . That mothers Had . nothing to fear from their sons entering camp, the benefit that would accrue to the youth of the country and the need for New Zealand to he prepared, were points made hy delegates speaking in support of the motion.
