War Amputees Support Compulsory Training
WELLINGTON, July 22. Thc Domiuion president of tlie War Amputees' • Assoeiation (Mr C. L. Butcher) lias written to tlie Prime ^linister (Mr Fraser) advising that a' meeting of the Doininion executive this week reaffirmed resolutions in favour of compulsory military training which had been carried unanimously at the assoeiation 's ccinferences this year and last year. - "Eleven years ago Czechoslovakia \vas crushed because we and others were too weak to strike a blow for her defence. Had we been prepared at that time she would still have been a strong oiitpost of Western Democracy, but because of our neglect she has now become the advance guard of Eastern Communism, M said the letter. There must be no more "Munichs" if democratic freedom were to live.
