Only two months of the current rug,by season remain and there is a heavy calendar of representative
and club fixtures ahead before 'the curtain is rung down. It is as follows: — July 30: Wellington Maoris v. Horowhenua - Wairarapa - Bush j Maoris, at Otaki; Horowhenua v. [Wairoa juniors as curtain-raiser; [Horowhenua thirds v. Manawatu Ithirds, a," Palmerston North; fourth grade teams play "c,ub game^. August 6: Horowhenua sdnior B v. Manawatu Colts, at Palmerston North; Horowhenua fourths v. Manawatu fourths, at Levin; junior and third grade teams p.ay c.ub games. August 13: Club games in all grades August 20: Horowhenua juniors v. Bush juniors for Gillespie Cup, venue to be finalised; Horowheiiua fourths v. Wellington fifths, at Levin; senior and third grade teams play club games. August 27: C.ub games in all ! grades. August' 31: Manawatu-Horowhe-nua v. Australia, at Palmerston North.
