Selector Announces Senior Rugby Trialists
The Horowhenua ^Etugby Union7S so^e senior selector, Mr. D. J. Olivef,has chosen the two senior teams which will play at Levin on Saturday as a prq'iminary lo the selection of the fifteen which will oppose the All Biacks Wheh they play their pre-test game ih Levin on September 1. They are: — A Team. Backs. — Fulbback: Mortimer; ihree-quarters Lind, GaPoway and Morgan; fiive-eighths: Wallis and Gwynn; half -back: Lay. Forwards. — Back row: Roy Robinsoh; middle row: G. Bryant, Ray Robinson, Winlerburn and Lincoln; front row: Noonan, I. Robinson and Doyle. B Teaiii. Backs. — Fttll-back: Fuller ; thre'equaftets: Foster, Heremdia and Pou'tu; five-eighths : Waaka and B Moynihan; half -back: Tritt. Forwards. — Back row : Fletcher : middle row: Sayer, King, Powell and Campbell: front row: Cahesen, Milroy and Nepia. The emergencies are as> follows and all will take -the fibd for pari of the game: — Backs: Merwood, Newton anri Cooper. Forwards: R Ta.ylor, Geoff. Sciascia, Wikaira and Watt. Other Fixtiifes. A fourth grade rep. trial will alsd be. played on Saturday ,the referee being Mr. Philhps, While the junior and third grades will engage iri club games as under: — Junior: Hui Mai v. Wanderers, 2 p.m. at Manakaq, Mi'. Sayer; Rahii' v. A'thletic, 2.45 ^p.m. at Otaki, Mr WiSeley; Awahali v. Shannon, 2 p.m. 9»t Shannon, Mr. Aitchison! Tokomaru v. Punahau, 1.15 p.rii. at RUgby Park No. 1 grotffid, Mr Zuppicich. Third grade: Hui Mai v. Foxton 2 p.m. at Foxton, Mr. McMillan; Old Boys v. Athletic, 1,15 p,m. at Rugby Park No. 2 ground, Mr. Carew; Otaki v. Shannon, 1.15 p.m. at Otaki, Mr. Johnson.
