Last Respects Paid.
The funeral of the la.e Mr. Chahes Gordon took place at Otaki On Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Father J. MCGrath, S.M., conducted impre'ssive Services at the church and graveside, and a large number of floral tributes were placed on the casket.j, Members of the Otaki Bowling. Q|ub a^eh,as„pall-bearers, and therb was a large attendance of mourners and friends. Fire Brigade Wins Trophy. A trophy presented some time ago f oi . cohipetitjon among various kind'red. orgariisations was the target at a. games evening on Mohday night, held in the Anglican Hall". . The trophy, -the Howell Clock, is now heid by, the Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade,^-' which on this occasion secured a substantial points win over the Oddfellows' Lodge representatives.
