Annual Meeting Of Bowling And Croquet Club

There was an excellent attendance of members and intending members at the annual meeting of the Shannon Bowiing and Croquet Club, held in Laurvig's Hall recently. Mr. V. J. Bateman, vicepresident, occupied the chair. The annual report showed a most successful season in every respect. Several ihter-club matches had been played and both the bowiing section and the croquet section had upheld the Aonour of the cluh: The balarice ^heet shoWed the financial side of the club's activities to be in a very sqund position. An open discussion on many club matters took place and, judging by. the keen interest hein'g "taken, it is anticipated that the coming season will be a good one. A number of new players have signified their intqntion of beihg present on the greens this season. Considerable attention has been given the greens and there is every prospect of their being in good condition this year. It *was decided to obtain a club badge and suitable designs are being secured. Officers for the coming year were elected as. follows; — President: Mr. V. ff. Bateman; vice-president; Mr: A. F. Birss; seeretary-treasurer: Mr. D. Munro; delegate to centre: Mr. J. T.
