Personal. The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Fitzgerald, left on Monday morning for a few weeks' holiday in Christchurch. . Miss Joyce Woo'dmass, oL Moutoa, returned home at 'fhe ^veekend after spending a short "holiday in Hastings. Mr. and Mrs. A. August, of Stout Street, left on Friday morning to spend a few days visiting relatives at Trentham. Golfers At Tui Glen. Members of the Buckley Golf Ciub journeyed to Tui Glen over the weekend for the playing of the annual fixture . between the two clubs. As in the past, Buckley members were high in their praise for the excellent hospitality received from the Wellington culb. National Orchestra. Many music lovers from Shannon and surrounding districts journeyed to Palmerston North for the National Orchestra's season in the city. It was interesting to note the number of young. people who were present from thi$ district -Vand, judging by their/'commerit at. thp conclusion of the prograimme, '"they were captivated by the interpretations of the ol'd masters.
