Reeeived Friday, 8.50 p.m. LONDON, July 15. Travelling as galley boys, firemeri, stewards, deckhands on a variety ofships ranging from freighters to the latest passenger liners 23 New Zealand Rover Scouts who comprise the New Zealand contingent to attend the World Rover Scout MOot near Oslo, Norway, early in August, will he assembled in camp at Gilwell Chingford, Essex, hy the heginning of next week. As part of their training the 23 members of the contingent were 'all instructed to make their way to Epgland from New Zealand and to pay their oym way by working their passages. All of them have succeeded in doing so, and when the last five arrive by the Orion from Australia on Saturday the party will he complete. Some of tlie New Zealand Kovers have already been in Britain for over a month, and during that period have been supporting themgelves hy working on farms or at any trades or occupations for which their New Zealand experience fitted them. \ One Rover has heen washing nrilk bottles, two or three more have heen doing electrieal work, and . one has heen working as a printer. The full party must he assembled at Gilwell Park hy next Monday, but as they will not leave for Norway until the 1 end of the 'month they will have a fortnight iu. which to see more oi England and London. Some will go on hiking trips to various parts of the country, and others will explore places of interest in London and its environs. The New Zealand party will travel to Oslo attached to the British contingent and will make the jouraey overland through Western Europe after landing at .Ostend. When the moot concludes all the New Zealanders will make their way home by again working their passages, and preferahly hy different routes from those they followed on the outward journey.
