WELLINGTON, July 14. Further relaxations in the contro1 on the use of certain buildings materials were notified by the Building Controller in tonight 's Gazette. Commenting. the Minister of Works, Mr. Semple. said tjie materials =eoncerned were aluminium sheets, aluminium conduit, copper sheets, copper piping and paint containing white lead and linseed oi). Up to the present time copper sheets
have been rstrieted to certain uses only but in future these materials may be used for general building purposes exeepting that the sheets may not be used for roofing. All restrictions on the use of copper tubing are removed. Aluminium is permitted for general building purposes provided sheets are not used for wall slieathing. Lead and oil paint has not been permitted for painting eoncrete, brick. and similar type buildings for some years but in. view of the improved supply position . as is also the case oi the other materials mentioned, all* restrictions on its use are now lifted.
