Stevens 9.3 (Has tings) det'eated Paddy Waddick 9.6 (Auckland!, the referee stopping tlie liout in the 8th round after Waddick had taken eonsiderable punishment. Both bovs fought freely but Stevens put Waddick down several times with iiard lefts to the liead and when Wad dick rose after the eount of eight in the 8tli round, lie took more punishment and eollapsed in the corner.
