Received Thursday, 9.40 a.m. .CAPETOWN, July 13. The All Blacks today had their final workout for the first test against the Springboks. The procedure was as in the previous days, with intense scrummaging, ruckmg, feeding the backs, and taking the ball through in the lineouts, with passing movements by the bcicks Fred Allen did not take the field today. He received a knock on the knee yesterday. The injtlry does not appear .to be serious, however, but in his absence Gudsell worked out with the test backs. Scott today had seven shots at goal from almost identical positions as in the Eastern Transvaal match, in which' he niissed seven 'kicks. A heavy dew on the ground made the ball heavy. He cbnverted three kicks, another three were right on; the line, but fell short, and the seventh grazed the outside of the posts. Over the past few weeks Scott has received letters giving wellmeant advice on how to kiek goals, but he is content with the few words spoken to him after the Eastern Transvaal game by Gerry
