Hopes Not Bright For Test Broadcast

WELLINGTON, July 12. There is no guarantee that the N ew Zealand-Springbok Rugby Test on Saturday will be re- broadcast. Station 2Ya will stay on the air from 11.20 p.m. and if commentary can be picked up, it is expeeted it will start at 1.25 a.m. on Sunday. A broadcasting oflicer said to-niglu that conditions were not very promising. A trial had been taken of the commentary on iast Saturday's match and it had been totally unintelligible. The- difliculty was that South Afriea had no shortwave and re-broadcast> hhd to go through very round-about Channels. Saturday's re-broadeast would probably come through Australia. Urgent cablegrams from South Africa would be broadcast if the coin mentary conld not be picked up. Everything possible would be done, however, in an effort to bring the com mentary to the people of New Zeaiand.
