Celebrates 105th Birthday
AUCKLAND, July 12. Mrs. Dorothy Hair, of Birkenhead, is 105 years old t.oday. Slie enjoys good health, is reasonably active and reads the daily newspapers. There is 110 special celebration, just a few intimate friends calling to wish her many happy returns and see her birthday cake, She resides with her only daugh-* ter," Mrs. Powell, and son-in-law. Her son predeeeased her and there are no grandchildren. Mrs. Hair was born at Blaydon-on-Tyne near Neweastle, England, and eame to New Zealand in 1902. She visited England a. few j'-ears later. A cablegram of congratulation arrivedl from the Lord Mayor of Newcastle-on-Tyne.'
