"In view of the approaeliin'g General Election and a possible change of Government, will the Prime Minister cease making political appointments to'' important Government positions?" asked Mr. G. H. Mackley (Wairarapa) of the Prime Minister at question time in the House of Eepresentatives this afternoon. Accompanying the question was a note referring to the recent appoint; ments of Mr. B. Eoberts, a fornunmember of Parliament, to the directorate of the Eeserve Bank, and Mr. G. Hansen, twice defeated Labour candidate, to the New Zealand Dairy Board.
