The Au>t:aiian and New Zealand Governiiiect :n:t horit ies are understood to have been ini'urmed of a scaJe of jirojeeted inereases which are likely to add considera/.ly to transport charges for ihe Doniinioiis ' exports to Great Britain. This will applv chiefly to wool, fruit, hilles ainl tallow. Transport charges on butter, cheese and meat are at ])resent on an f.o.b. basis — thougn they are. of course, taken into consideratiou in tixing the annual scale of prices for these commodities under the existing bulk purcliase arrangements.
