MORE DOCKERS STRIKE
^ Troops Unload Food Ships in Blazing Sun Received Wednesday, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, July 12. More London docKers went on strme uoaay and the numoer of men invoive'd in tne stoppage is now nearly 13,000, while 127 ships are idie and eight are undermanned. 111 Lhe Royal Docks troops were working on 17 .ships today. Stripped to the waist m b.azing' sunshine, they were unloading cargoes of meat, apples, pears, cheese, butter, lard, tea and flour. Troops are also loading a ship for Hong Kong with sjores, tanks, lornes and jeeps. 1 Operational headquarters have been set up in the Royal Victoria Dock and radio control vans are stationed by the sides of ships.
Committee To Work Tort. The Government has set up a committee of five to control work at the Port of London until the State of emergency is over. The committee will work the port in the name of the Government and will decide whether others, in addition to the troops, will be required to keep the port working. Representatives of the meat porters at Smithfield Market decide d unanimously at a meeting- today that no meat handled _ by troops working at the docks will be dealt with at the market. The first meat so handled is not expected to arrive at Smithfield before tomorrow. ____________
