CHRISTCHURCH, July 1L. Pleading guilty to a charge that on July 9 he carrip'd on the business of a bookmaker, Rex Zaveri Beri, aged 30. clerk, was sentenced by Mr Rex. C. Abernethy, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day to a month's imprison ment with hard laliour. "I would be glad to give effect to submissions of counsel but Beri has a list going back years," said the Magi.v trate.
