German Bishop Appeals For Church Unity

Keceived Mondav, 7 p.m. LONDON, July 11. Dr. Otto Dibelius, Protestant Bishop of Berlin, speaking at the conference of the World Council of Churehes at Chiehester, niade a strong ap'peal for unity among the churehes. "Unity as a result of force and violence, does not bring a blessing but a curse," he said. "Our German people have had the experienco of this cruel truth in the past . 15 years and they are experiencing it ; ugain. Ilow long niust we wait for j peace to be given to our tormented Dennan people? Ilow long must wo wait for l'reedom, justice, righteousness and love between our people and the world? Ilow long must we wait for unity in the church ?"
