The Shannon Borough Council has received from the Valuation Department the revised valuation roll for the borough. In most cases the valuations have increased. The roll is open for public inspection at the town elerk's offiee during offi.ee hours untjl July 14. Combined Church For Opiki. In his monthly report to _ the parishioners of the Anglicari, Church, the vicar, Rev. M. J. S. Wheeler, reports that the people of Opiki are submitting plans to the necessary authorities for -the erection of a combined Angliean and Presbyterian Church in that district. Mr. Wheeler paid tribute to Mr. G. J. Wilde, one of the prime movers.in the project. Large Library Increases. Reporting to the Shannon Borough Council at its recent meeting, the acting chairman of the library committee, Cr. R. S. Downes, said that all matters pertaining to the library were progressing satisfactorily. The revenue derived from the library showed an mcrease. It was resolved to send letters of thanks to the Mayoress, Mrs. D. A. Fitzgerald, and Mrs. C. Tremewan for their assistance in the library . during the absen.ee of the librarian.
