Pcrsonal Mr. John Beck,ofJ Rangiuru, following an operation in Palmerston North, is progressing very satisfactorily. Mrs. B. Bell, nee Miss C. Jacobs, ,and Miss May Davis, have been recipiehts of many congratulatory wishes following their selection as members of the team to represent Horowhenua at the New Zealand ba'sketball tournament in Dunedin. Water Crosses Road. Following Friday morning's heavy rain, the Mangaone Stream at Te Horo was the highest it has been for many years and water flowed across the main road.
